Hulbert Aldrich

Hulbert S. Aldrich (1907–1995) chaired the Commonwealth Fund Board of Directors from 1969 to 1977, succeeding his older brother, Malcolm Pratt Aldrich. A graduate of Yale University, he joined the New York Trust Company in 1930, working his way to president and director by 1950. When New York Trust merged with Chemical Corn Exchange Bank, Aldrich became vice chairman and director of the new Chemical Bank New York Trust Company. Aldrich also served on several corporate boards, including the I.B.M. World Trade Corporation, Empire Savings Bank, and the Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.
